CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – After putting together the richest harness racing season ever recorded in Atlantic Canada, Tobins Chester (Shanghai Phil) will return to the races Saturday afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 16-dash Saturday presentation has a 12:30 P.M., opening post time.

The $4,600 Preferred Pace headlines the card in race 15 as Tobins Chester makes his four-year-old debut after banking a record $127,618 racing exclusively in Atlantic Canada. He was a 12-time winner as a three-year-old in 2024 including a 1:54 Atlantic Breeder’s Crown Championship triumph. The Donald MacRae owned pacer last raced on Oct. 26 and will have Marc Campbell at the lines for trainer Ashley Gamester.

The streaking Bacononabiscuit has rail control in the top class with Adam Merner driving his trainee after two-straight victories in 1:54.4 and 1:57.1.

No Plan Intended (To be driven by David Dowling) leaves from post 3 for trainer Jennifer Doyle after a second-place finish last time at this level.

Blood Money (Gilles Barrieau) has post 4 and comes into this race just $37 shy of $500,000 in lifetime earnings. Ron Matheson trains the stallion, who will see his first crop of two-year-olds hit the track this Summer.

Red Shores Charlottetown co-track record holder Bee Two Bee (Jason Hughes) also hails from the Gamester barn and victorious last time in this class with a 1:55.3 clocking on Dec. 31. The Sunshine Beach stallion has post 5.

The Post Time Picks go with Bee Two Bee to double up.

“Bee Two Bee has four top class victories in his last six starts and he’s versatile so Jason has lots of options. He was an easy front-end winner last time out so I’m betting they lead gate-to-wire again today.”
