Promising mare Sweet Mama (Sweet Lou) continues to make progress following her all the way in the What The Hill-His Numbers stack up! Ladyship pace for mares at Menangle Park last night.

Confidently backed into a short priced favourite Sweet Mama made use of the coveted pole position and driver Robert Morris was easily able to hold out any challenges for the lead. The previously unbeaten Shez Sweet Louise coming off the back of her Maitland Inter City Pace success was caught wide early and her driver Isobel Ross had no option but to race outside the leader.
Joelita who had some support was dropped back to the rear of the field.
Sweet Mama continued the pressure on her rivals and in running her last two quarters in 27.8 and 28 seconds made it impossible for her rivals to catch her.

Joelita finished quickly to take out second placing ahead of Roll with Sloy who was also doing her best work at the finish in taking third.
Shez Sweet Louise understandably weakened to beat just three home. She hung in under pressure and a warning was issued.
SWEET MAMA REPLAY
Sweet Mama is a relative newcomer to racing and had her first two starts in New Zealand in October at Methven and Addington. Shortly after she joined Seaton Grima’s stables and he has patiently guided the mare to more success and now she has won her last three starts. Her winning mile rate of 1.51.1 which is her best time to date suggests that she will make her presence felt especially in some of the big mares races coming up in the forthcoming carnivals.
