Today’s Prix Louis Cussinet (purse 33,000€, 2175 meters, nine three year old male starters) saw the 4/10 odds favorite Make Your Day (3m Face Time Bourbon-Daytona Jet-Goetmals Wood) record his second victory in three career starts for owner Ecurie Hunter Valley.
Franck Nivard teamed the winner for trainer Sebastien Guarato as Make Your Day advanced his earnings to 24,600€ while defeating 26/1 Moustik La Govelle (3m Discours Joyeux-City Girl) with trainer Damien Bonne aboard and third finishing 5.9/1 odds Made In Marettes (3m Offshore Dream-Avoine de Blondel) driven by Tony Le Beller for conditioner R.C. Larue.

On today’s Vincennes card five year olds contested the Prix Jean Pierre Reynaldo (purse 52,000€, 2700 meters, 10 starters). Here the 1.2/1 odds favorite Karma Power (5g Village Mystic-Divine Creature) scored timed in 1.13.6kr driven by Benjamin Rochard. The now nine time winner in 13 starts is trained by William Bigeon for Joel Seche and he has earned 145,550€. Katchi Quick (5g Enino du Pommereux-Namoura Quick) was a distant second driven by Theo Duvaldestin for breeder/owner Ecurie Quick Star and trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. Third was rallying 41/1 Kamikaze du Campus (5m Ready Cash-Elisa de Vandel) that Christophe Martens reined for trainer Fabrice Souloy.

The days ahead in Paris in the Bois de Vincennes feature five groupe tests including the world respected Prix de Cornulier (monte Gr. I International, purse 700,000€, 18 starters ages 4-11) with a very competitive lineup shown below.
The Sunday January 19 card also includes the Gr. III Prix Michel Marcel Gougeon (purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 10 eight year old starters) and the Gr. III European Prix de Mirande (purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 11 starters age five).
On Saturday January 18 there are two more groupe events, the Gr. II Prix de Pardieu (purse 120,000€, 2175 meters, eight four year old starters) and the Gr. III Prix de Brest (purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 10 starters eight year olds).
The Italian trotteurs and trainers have successfully invaded France during this Winter Meet at Vincennes but there remains good trotting back home in Italy. An example was the Gran Premio Nastro d’Oro (purse 35,200€, 1600 meters autostart, 12 starters) that took place at Siracusa Mediterraneo (January 12) with the 1.12.2kr timed victory to 9.3/1 Fierobecco Font (4m Ringostarr Treb-The Blessed Virgin). Off at 9.3/1 odds this impressive closer was reined by Filippo Gallo and trainer Saverio Gallo. The winner powered past second finishing 13.8/1 Fahrenheit Grif handled by Davide di Stefano and 7.3/1 Fashion Glory handled by Salvatore Cortura Jr.
And, another example today in Paris where Diabel (6f Nad Al Sheba-Priscilla Zak-Varenne) won the Pric de Cantin for Eric Raffin driving for H.E. Bondo training for Scuderia ZB Sport Srl. By the way Nad Al Sheba is a super sire in Italy he being a son of Windsongs Legacy.
