Harness racing hits Kapiti Coast again today with seven races on the card . The racing starts at 3:42pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Bet:  R2  Golden Line

Best Value:  R3  Sheza Mermaid

Race 1

Trippy Tyron (8) Honest second last start and can go one better here. Needed
Cosmic Angel (6) Never far away in the last half a dozen starts. Has to be included
Mentalist (11) Getting fitter. Needs manners but has the speed if he trots all the way

Race 2

Golden Line (7) Narrowly beaten the first day. Winning claims here with a good trip
Miki’s Moment (9) Tough effort on day one. Will be running on late and hard to beat
Captain Zenzi (2) Finished well for second the first day. Similar draw and can go close

Race 3

Sheza Mermaid (3) Galloped the first day but much better than that. Has to be included
Cristiano Buccini (2) Likely leader who should give a good sight in front. Needed
Whitfield (5) Had excuses on day one and well placed here. Expect sharp improvement

Race 4

Gotta Elect Bill (8) Solid win last start and a winning chance in same field. Hard to beat
The Next Best Thing (9) Has gate speed and driver change here. Good top three chance
Lord Delmar (2) In form and a place chance again from the handy draw. Each way claims

Race 5

Manchester In Time (9) Got back and never improved last start. Extra distance helps
Johnny Who (8) Freshened for this and grass suits. Good chance in the conditions. Include
Sweet Olivia (7) Never placed on grass but the ability is there. Give another chance in this

Race 6

Katies Princess (6) Disappointing on day one but will be fitter. Could surprise with luck
Caulfield (4) Good second on day one and a good chance to go one better here. Include
Tasi Ahnau (7) Easy winner the first day but up in grade. Tricky draw but can still place

Race 7

Benjamin Button (4) Finished well the first day and a good chance to repeat here. Needed
Sweet Spirit (6) Big late run on the first day and stable in good form. Hard to beat
Kourtney Kardash (2) Impressive on day one and sure to give a good account again here
