Harness racing hits Methven again today with 11 races on the card . The racing starts at 11:40am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Bodacious (8) Freshened and raced ok last campaign. Can run top three with manners
Aldebaran Redwood (6) Strong trial form makes him an each way chance in this. Needed
Bonjour Paris (9) Getting better with racing but needs manners. Can upset with no errors

Race 2

Vesta (7) Nabbed late at Marlborough. Conditions suit and has winning claims here. Include
Woodlea Diamond (4) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. Bright hope
Unico Tessa (1) Nice draw to use for her here. Top three chance from a trailing position

Race 3

Interrorgator (2) Driver change for this and grass runs have been good. Strong run expected
Beverley Courtney (10) Ok last start and a threat to the favourites with a good run in transit
Royal Belle (5) Good effort last start and better draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Apatchofgold (5) Has not had a lot of luck in recent runs. Should give a good account in this
Big Mama Morris (1) Gate speed and goes ok the track. Top three hope from the ace draw
Sir Monty (3) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds if he can find the front

Race 5

Brian Beatt (1) Fought on last start but better placed in this from the draw. Chance at longer odds
Dem Bones Dem Bones (13) Freshened and has trialed in great order. Good each way chance
Illegal Alien (7) Normally a quick beginner and could get a soft run handy to the speed. Include

Race 6

Milou (9) Average against a way tougher field last start. Hard to beat against this lot on grass
Sarasota Sunset (7) Should get a soft run handy with her gate speed. One for longer odds in this
Lilac Luxury (10) Due to show form and draw the only concern. Will be running on late here

Race 7

Solemn Son (5) Good form on grass and getting fitter. One of the better chances in this field
Transtasman Bubble (2) Should get a run through early. Might need luck but grass stats good
Baffled  (12) Wide draw but has had excuses in quite a few of her runs. Upset claims with manners

Race 8

Betterwithbling (7) Wide draw but has won on grass and form not bad. Each way claims in this
Samvasa (11) Tricky draw but placed on the track in the past. Winning claims at longer odds
Ann Sophie (10) Trainer change and should get a good run on the pegs. Top three chance here

Race 9

Style Council (4) Always gives his best and ideal draw. In the mix here at nice each way odds
Country Gold (9) Decent motor and due to show some form again. One of the better chances
Ultimate Counsel (1) Always quick away and should get a  soft run. Place hope again here

Race 10

Musclynn (6) Has raced better fields. Drawn ok here and looks a good bet. Winning claims
Brother Love (1) Best draw and better than most in this field at stepping away. Respect here
Martha Stuart (4) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Nice top three chance

Race 11

Anytime At All  (1) Grass suits and should get a soft trip. Can go close here with a trailing run
Evidently (2) Good form on grass and drawn for a cozy run near the lead. Solid hope again
Destiny’s Dream (12) Big run last start after working hard mid race. One of the better chances
