Benjamin Hanover (Sebastian K) overpowered the best harness racing trotters on the ground at Bally’s Dover in the Open Handicap Trot on Tuesday night.

Last Glow and Benjamin Hanover left alertly at the start of the race. Last Glow retreated to the pocket. Benjamin Hanover cleared the lead at the quarter pole Benjamin Hanover set fractions of 28 to the quarter. The half was reached in 57.3 a moderate 29.3 quarter.
Keg Stand braved a first over try past the 3/8th marker. Platinum As gained momentum 2nd over as the outside flow trotted down the backstretch Last Glow remained in the pocket. Benjamin Hanover, the 1/9 betting favorite, set sails trotting to the three quarters in 1:26.1, a 28.3 clocking. Then drew off in the stretch to win by two and a half lengths in 1:54.2. He returned $2.20 for the win.
Last Glow saved ground and finished 2nd. Keg Stand survived a 1st over trip to finish 3rd.

Earlier in the evening, JL Cruze won his 74 lifetime victory winning in 1:56.1
Corey Callahan scored a four bagger with four driving wins on the evening.
Wednesday’s feature is the 10th race $25,000 Mares Open Handicap Pace. Majorca N, a convincing winner last week, takes on her nemesis Incaseyoudidntknow.
