Harness racing hits Auckland again today with eight races on the card . The racing starts at 6:15pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Auckland selections 14th February 2025

Best Bet:  R1   Invisible

Best Value:  R3   American Muscle

Race 1

Invisible (6) Goes well in these conditions and small field helps. Can get over the top of them here
Double Jeopardy (1) Barrier draw will assist and he is getting fitter. Capable of a quick mile rate
Greased Lightnin (2) Stable respect and nice win last start. Has been freshened and hard to beat

Race 2

Christies Art (1) Stable respect and better draw for this. Very hard to beat with natural improvement
In The Summertime (8) Ran on late two starts ago and Canterbury horses do well here. Include
St John Eight (2) Had money on in first two defeats. Trainer change and weaker field here. In the mix

Race 3

American Muscle (4) Ideal conditions and should race handy. Should go close to top three at odds
Faith In Manchester (6) Hard to beat on the track with a good run in transit. Handicap hurts a bit
Lord Popinjay (7) Good effort last start and can sneak into the top three again with a quick beginning

Race 4

Ultimate Racy Girl (4) Not far away in stronger fields recently. Quick beginner and top selection here
Iron Brigade (6) Starting to get some form back and should be thereabouts again. Likely leader early
Words (2) Big jump in grade but she has a reputation. No surprise to see her in the top three here

Race 5

Kevin Kline (4) Disappointing last start but this looks easier. Should give a good sight this week
Lewey Maguire (3) Never threatened on grass last couple. Place chance back on the grit track
Messenger Buoy (2) Will be the early leader and racing ok. Chance if left alone in front. Include

Race 6

Ohoka Achilles (2) Good against a weaker field last start. Has claims with a good run in transit
Bet West (7) Ran on last start. Danger to these with a soft run. Can finish quickly off cover
Louie V Tonne (5) No form but could surprise at longer odds with his best effort. Upset claims

Race 7

Frisco Bay (3) Ran home too late last start but will be fitter. Can run a cheeky race in this
Minjee (5) No luck last start left parked. Might need better luck but can run a quick last half
Lincoln Lou (2) Has been running on in his races. One of the better chances from an inside draw

Race 8

Sans Au Revoir (3) Disappointing last start but better than that and will be fitter here. Top selection
Romeo Foxtrot (4) Solid form for this and should go close to placing. Has to be included here
Barsukov (5) Out of form but does pop up when you least expect it. Top three chance with luck
