Harness racing hits Banks Peninsula again today with 11 races on the card . The racing starts at 12:15pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Penny Weight (2) Ok last start in a similar field. Normally quickly away and can run top three
Hi Hopes (9) Good win last start but wide draw for this. If she can get into the race early can win
Times Are A Changin (7) Plenty of ability and due to fire up again. One for longer odds here

Race 2

Waterloo Station (6) Will not be a maiden for long and conditions suit. One of the better chances
Castleisland (4) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and in good form. Top three hope again
A Reason To Fight (7) Has some speed and has been freshened. Could surprise with a good trip

Race 3

Mariana Trench (4) Not far away from her first win and it could come today. Good run expected
Major Linc (1) Ok last start and upset claims with a good run in transit. Drawn for a soft trip
Imperial Laz (5) Should be fitter and ran some good races last campaign. Among the leading hopes

Race 4

Crazy N Love (5) Made a few breaks last start but with manners here is a leading prospect. Needed
Transtasman Bubble  (8) Disappointing last start. Give another chance and include in combinations
High Noon (1) Likely to race close to the speed here. Great chance from the draw. Winning claims

Troubleshooter (8) Top third last start and this is no harder. Has speed and top selection in this
Patrice (4) At her best would go close in this. Needs the right trip but good enough to run top three
My Skatjie (7) Will be fitter after last start sixth. Driver change and could surprise here. One for odds

Race 6

Judine (11) Has won on the track in the past.  Has a big finish with one run at them and could surprise
Topaz  (6) Quick beginner suited to grass. Winning claims with a soft run in transit and needed in this
Moet Shard  (5) Tidy run last start and a big chance if she manages to find the front. Has to be included

Race 7

Love Walked In (3) Needs to bring her manners but with a clean beginning will be hard to beat in this
Musclynn (5) Disappointing last start but good draw and can go close to placing here. Track stats good
Racey Krusa (4) Good form and has a nice finish when saved for one run. Goes ok on the grass surface

Race 8

Festus Haggen (9) Goes well on grass and normally quick away. Distance ideal and has winning claims
Apatchofgold (2) Decent motor and finished on last start. Drawn to be right in the action early. Include
Arizonawildcat (8) Conditions suit and better than the form suggests. Chance here at longer odds

Race 9

Franco Humbie (3) Has raced better fields and grass suits. Running on last start and top three claims
Taketheplunge (6) Good draw and best option is to get to the front and lead. Might take some catching
Misty Blue (14) Tricky draw but easy win last start and has a big finish. Look for her late down the outer

Race 10

Buffy Northstains (9) Track suits and has been freshened for this. Can go close here with luck in running
Dem Bones Dem Bones (1) Good win last start and should give a good sight again here. Hard to beat
Clyde (2) Likely to race close to the speed here. Has won on grass and top three hope here at longer odds

Race 11

Almighty Clever (1) Track suits and will probably lead or trail here. Can go close and hard to beat. Needed
Acento (4) Out of form but drawn for a run near the speed. Goes best in front and might head forward
Samvasa (6) Good finisher who needs the right trip. Can run top three with luck in transit. Top three
