Leeston harness racing trainer Brad Mowbray will head south with a truck load of runners for tomorrow’s Oamaru HRC meeting.

Mowbray has three starters in Race One – Okiwi Bay (Art Major), He’s Tough (He’s Watching) and The Bettor Major (Art Major).

Okiwi Bay started at Addington last Friday night and battled on for nineth in much stronger company.

The Bettor Major got behind a weakening runner at his last start finishing sixth, 4.6 lengths from the winner My Ten Guitars.

Mowbray labelled The Bettor Major as the stables best bet.

Oakley Shard (Sweet Lou) wears the stable colours in Race Three. Her only win was on this course and the field doesn’t look overly strong.

In Race Six seven year old gelding Fourth Amendment (American Ideal) has a wide draw to overcome. A five win horse, he’s won twice on the Oamaru track.

Delightful Peg ran second at her last start at Ashburton finishing 2.5 metres from the winner. She draws wide at barrier five.
