Harness racing hits Auckland again today with eight races on the card . The racing starts at 5.42pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Auckland selections 7th March

Best Bet:  R1  Roy Kent

Best Value: R2 Master Savoy

Race 1

Roy Kent (1) Not far away last start and drawn best of these. Should run top three here
Demon Blue (5) Small field will help and will race much better this week. Needed in this
Beetastic (6) Running on last start but will need a lot of luck to beat the boys. Place chance

Race 2

Master Savoy (9) Racing well and field not strong. Soft trip is likely and has to be included
Amazing Captain (1) Drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and has been freshened. Hard to beat
Ragnar Lothbrok (6) Improver from his last few starts. Top three chance here with a good trip

Race 3

Whats Up The Hill  (5) Has looked good at recent trials and trainer respect. Good run expected
Shes All Legs (2) Drawn well and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit. Include
Hayley Mhor (8) Tidy win last start and small field will help. Can sneak into the top three again

Race 4

Kyvalley Hotspur (6) Solid win last start and a winning chance again.  Handicap a worry here
American Muscle (2) Too good last start and should give a sight again with a similar effort
High Energy (3) Getting better with racing and due another win. Conditions suit here. Include

Race 5

Duchess Megxit (7) Freshened and wide draw but should still run a top race. Might be too speedy
Ohoka Connor (8) Disappointing last start but better than that. Look for an improved run here
Invisible (6) Will be fitter after last start fifth and mile suits. Track stats good and could upset

Race 6

Lincoln Lover (3) Nearly beat a similar field last start. Drawn well and can go one better in this
Utah Blaze (2) Should get a run through early. Stable respect and winning claims with a good trip
Prince Lincoln (6) Wide draw the only concern but good winning last start. Can go back to back

Race 7

Travelin Soldier (6) Up in class but looks a trotter heading for the top grade. Win chance again
Walkinonsunshine (8) Tricky handicap but can make her own luck in this. One of the better chances
Eagle Hanover (4) Stronger field here but will continue to improve and place hope here if she leads

Race 8

Angelic Copy (5) Good win on debut and wide draw the only concern. Should give a good sight
Big Miki (3) On debut and has a motor. Looks over the odds and should go close to placing in this.
Lincoln Linda  (1) Should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance again from the draw
