Groupe Action at Vincennes is top flight

The 2.1/1 odds “powerhorse” My Princess (3f Ready Cash-Reine Magic-Insert Gede) easily dispatched her harness racing rivals to win the Prix de Chatillon (Gr. III, 70,000€ purse, 2700 meters, 10 European starters three year old females) today at Paris-Vincennes.

Trainer Mathieu Mottier teamed the winner for breeder/owner Dominique Mottier. The winner won her third straight in five starts for 81,550€ earned.  Race time was 1.14.7kr. The 4.2/1 odds Midway Lady (3f Royal Dream-Empress) was second three lengths back for driver Benjamin Rochard for trainer/owner/breeder Etienne Dubois.

Mara Best (3f Carat Williams-Une Winner) was third at 32/1 for trainer/driver Benoit Robin followed by 21/1 odds fourth finishing Mosaic Life (3f Hohneck-Saga de Bolero) with Yoann Lebourgeois up for trainer/owner Philippe Allaire and 64/1 odds Melody Cool (3f Ready Cash-Graine de Crack) was fifth with David Thomain up for trainer Thibault Borderie.

The co-featured Prix du Bois de Vincennes (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters, 12 International starters ages 4-11)

Finally, the Prix Jean Cabrol (purse 75,000€, 2700 meters, 13 European starters ages 6-11) featured a fine field of aged performers with victory going to 5.1/1 odds Hulysse Digeo (8g Reve de Beylev-Nuit d’Odyssee) with trainer J.W. Hallais driving for owner J.C. Hallais.

The winner was timed in 1.12.8kr and recorded his 14th career win in 65 starts for 435,590€.  The 46/1 outsider Invictus Madiba (7m Booster Winner-Batignolles) gained second for reinsman Franck Nivard, Ecurie Hunter Valley and their trainer Bastien Michardiere. Isofou du Chene (7g Un Charme Fou) held third at 2.5/1 odds driven by Paul Philippe Ploquin. Julien Le Mer trains this Yvonne Guedy bred and owner trotteur.

The top three were followed by 17/1 Illusion Jiprad (7f Boccador de Simm with Jean Michel Bazire driving, then 21/1 Heradames (8g Quaker Jet) with David Thomain, 9/10 odds favorite Working Class Hero (6m Village Mystic) and Mathieu Mottier and then 52/1 Self Explosive (10g Explosive Matter) was seventh with Benjamin Rochard aboard.
