Encrantador Laksmy wins Gran Premio Giorgio Jagher

The Gran Premio Giorgio Jegher (purse 35,200€, 2480 meters distance handicap) at Trieste Montebello’s 804 meter racetrack went to 3.3/1 Enchantador Laksmy (5m Bold Eagle-Teodora Caf) that was a 1.17.2kr timed coast to coast winner.

Roberto Vecchione teamed the Holger Ehlert trainee for Angela Affinito.

The winner has recorded eight career wins for 95,159€. Electra ZS (5f Maharajah-Aurora Bar) was a length back second at 12.7/1 odds with Vincenzo Luongo driving.

Eritrea (5f Odingo-Bellange’ RL) was third at 4.2/1 odds with Antonio Di Nardo at the lines finishing ahead of 16.9/1 Cointreau (7m And Al Sheba-Otelmass) with Federico Esposito aboard.

Earlier at Roma Capannelle (March 19) Premio Anact Stakes Plus Batteria Male (purse 20,900€, 2100 meters autostart) saw 1.3/1 odds Fellow Wise As (4m Maharajah-Ladyone-Muscle Mass) score in 1.14.8kr.

Trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro teamed this eight time career winner of 149,915€. Floy di Girifalco (4m Donato Hanover-Mosa del Ronco) finished second as the 1.3/1 odds co-favorite for driver Gennaro Riccio with third going to 7.4/1 Fanale CR (4m Ready Cash-Valuta OK) with Antonio Di Nardo at the lines.

On March 21 at Milano was the Premio Femmine Anact Stakes Plus (purse 20,900€, 2100 meters autostart) that 1.7/1 odds Funny Gio (4f Face Time Bourbon-Amazing Gio-Royalty For Life) won for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro.

Fosciandora DR (4f And Al Sheba-Pietrasanta DR) finished second a length back at 4.55/1 odds and reined by great veteran Pippo Gubellini. Home third was 6.23/1 Fragola Di No (4f And Al Sheba-One Way) with Marco Stefani driving. Race time was 1.12.3kr. Funny Gio won for the 11th time in her career good for 287,265€.

Finally (Milano March 21) the Premio Maschi Anact Stakes Plus (purse 20,900€, 2100 meters) saw 2.14/1 odds First Of Mind (4m Face Time Bourbon-Peace Of Mind-Uronometro) score timed in 1.12.2kr for his 10th career win. The 430.156€ winner was driven by trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. The 14.2/1 Freyr di Venere (4m Pascia’ Lest-It’s a Magic Moment) was second with G.P. Minucci aboard followed by 4.6/1 Fil EK (4m Ringostarr Treb-Ukase EK) with Pietro Gubellini aboard.

Ahead in Italy on March 30 is the Gr. II Gran Premio Italia with separate splits for the mares and males. Then on April 6 at Torino will be the Gr. I Gran Premio Costa Azzurra a UET event. Both should be highly competitive trotting contests.
