FRESHMEN TAKE TO THE TRACK TUESDAY
The first two-year-olds to make it to the track at The Meadows this year will see action on Tuesday morning (June 3) in qualifying races. In all, 12 qualifying races will be held, with races 1-9 exclusively for freshmen trotters and pacers. Qualifying races are held at The Meadows every Tuesday morning, with post time for the summer now moved to 10:30am. The qualifiers are being offered live for the summer on Race Track Network’s online platform, and are also shown live on the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association’s Facebook page, and archived at www.youtube.com/themsoa.
ANGUS JOINS DRIVING COLONY
22-year-old Ryan Angus has been making daily trips to The Meadows in recent weeks and continues to pick up more drives. The Ohio native has been a regular at Northfield Park for the last few seasons and this year marked his first venture to Pennsylvania. He has ties to the area, as he is related to the Beinhauer family, longtime Meadows regulars, on his grandmother’s side of the family. His father, Ryan, has also raced at The Meadows as a trainer/driver many times over the years.
