Leap To Fame ready for Inter Dominion with effortless win

Australia’s leading pacer Leap To Fame (Bettors Delight) finalised his Inter Dominion harness racing preparation with no more than a casual stroll in taking out the 2025 Pace with Mates Lucky Creed Open at Albion Park on Saturday night.

Although drawn in barrier 2, Leap to Fame was not the fastest out and driver Grant Dixon obviously wasn’t perturbed when Cya Art was able to cross over and lead.

But as soon as he settled down Leap To Fame simply charged around the field to take up the running and from there onwards the race was a procession.

Blacksadance had a one out and one back trail with stablemate Wisper A Secret right behind him.

Beach Ball was well back in the field but there were no moves until Tom Callaghan on Blacksadance made a run going into the back straight. However Dixon allowed Leap To Fame to stride out in the last half mile running his last two quarters in 26.9 and 27.2 seconds as he cruised to a seven metre win over a gallant Cya Art with Beach Ball a similar margin away third.

And without being really extended Leap To Fame ran his last mile in 1.52.7.

Leap To Fame will now go straight into the first round of Inter Dominion Heats on 5 July and even at this early stage is a warm favourite for the Final two weeks later.

His preparation this time in has been faultless having won all three of his Albion Park appearances. His potential clash with classic rival Don Hugo is hugely anticipated but on the strength of his recent performances and given his home ground advantage all points to Leap To Fame having a second Inter Dominion at his keeping barring any racing incidents or injuries.
