Victorian trotter Parisian Artiste (Love You) in his third Inter Dominion campaign showed that his preparation is right on track when he led all the way in the fourth heat of the Second round of the Ladbrokes Inter Dominion Trotting Championships at Albion Park on Saturday evening.

Brilliantly driven by Tayla French, Parisian Artiste commenced quickly from out wide to go past early leader Constantinople
The race was marred at the start when highly fancied New Zealander Oscar Bonavena galloped from the pole and effectively was out back at the rear of the field.
The highly fancied Arcee Phoenix made a move after travelling a lap three wide to go and race one out but his driver sat back and Parisian Artiste was always clearly in front.
Arcee Phoenix was shaken up on the final bend but it was obvious that Parisian Artiste was travelling too well in the lead and the seven year old gelding stretched out to record a comfortable win over Arcee Phoenix with Love Gun doing his best work at the finish ahead of Harry Stamper.
PARISIAN ARTISTE JUL 12 REPLAY
Oscar Bonavena who was a clear last made a run in the final lap but the effort told and he ran home in six position but in doing so qualified for the Final.
Tayla French commented after the race.
“It would be nice to get another draw similar like that and have similar speed off the front row. He was really good. He’s done that really easy and his plugs are still in and hopefully he’s better again next week”.
“I thought I had to come out a little bit harder to cross the ones under me but when I saw Luke push the button early I knew he wasn’t going to hold up so I was able to just glide across”.
“He thrives off the trip and I’m pretty excited for next week because he thrives off that longer distance. It’s massive to in his third Final. Two years ago he was never going to race again and to get him to where he is now and get him back racing in the company he is racing in. And it’s just an awesome effort by all”.
“To get in the Inter dominion grand final I’m wrapped I don’t know what to say actually”.

Parisian Artiste is trained by Alex Ashwood from Bendigo.
Adam Sanderson was relieved that Oscar Bonavena had made the final.
Now that he’s in it we’re full of confidence because his performance tonight was exceptional so now we’re in it we can win it.
