Battle of Waterloo straight to final with eight entered

MILTON, July 23, 2025 – The entry box for the 2025 Battle of Waterloo at Grand River Raceway closed Wednesday with eight harness racing entrants, sending the race directly to the final.

Grand River Raceway’s marquee race for Ontario sired two-year-old pacers will be the main event on the track’s annual Industry Day program on Monday, August 4.

With no eliminations needed for the Battle of Waterloo, the Battle of the Belles for Ontario sired two-year-old pacing fillies will take the spotlight this Monday (July 28) with a pair of six-horse eliminations. The entries for Monday will be released later this afternoon.

The eight rookie pacing colts and geldings entered in the Battle of Waterloo are listed below in alphabetical order.

The Dr. Ian Moore trained Beau Jangles is the headliner of the group, having won both Ontario Sires Stakes Gold legs held to this point. A son of Cattlewash, Beau Jangles most recent Gold victory came last Saturday at Woodbine Mohawk Park in 1:51.1.
