Progressive Southland filly Just Like Jagger (Vincent) heads to the big smoke on Friday to race in the first heat of the Nevele R Fillies Series at Addington.
“The owners have paid up so we’ve got to go and see how we line up with them,” trainer driver Kirstin Green said.
Just Like Jagger for her first trip out of the province, has drawn one on the front row.
“I would have preferred to have drawn out a little bit as it’s her first time under lights. She does have gate speed so hopefully she can handle them and the 1980 metre start point.”
At her last start at Ascot Park the three year old filly got back early, was taken forward three wide with a lap to run and sat parked for the last 600 metres. She was beaten into third by two nice fillies in Duchess Of Kent and Joyride, with two lengths covering the trio.

Just Like Jagger will face some quality fillies in Friday nights feature including Duchess Of Kent, Caught The Eye, Queen Tyron, Christies Act and Gone Surfin.
“The whole field looks like nice progressive fillies. She’s definitely jumping in the deep end against some of the better fillies, but I thought it’s time to have a go. There’s another heat in a fortnight.”
