Jabalpur (6m Booster Winner-Sliema) rallied off the pegs to win today’s Grand Prix du Department des Alpes (Gr II International, purse 150,000€, 1609 meters autostart, 14 starters ages 4-11) at Cagnes sur Mer timed in a sharp 1.09.5kr (mile 1:51.7).

Off at 3.1/1 the winner won for the 11th time in 42 career starts for 534,510€. Eric Raffin teamed this Alain Chavatte trainee for Tramontom Srl. Ideal Ligneries (7m Repeat Love-Ouragame) was second after a game front end journey reined by J.Ph. Monclin for owner Roger Wittmann. Dimitri Ferm (6m Nal Al Sheba-Tracy Chapman) was third at 29/1 with Marco Stefani driving the Paolo Scamardella trainee that Dream Ferm Srl owns. Inato Pierji (7g Uniclove) was fourth for David Bekaert followed by Always EK (9m Filippo Roc) with Alessandro Gocciadoro up and 9/10 odds Hohneck (8m Royal Dream) with Gabby Gelormini aboard that followed third and showed little.
