Speed Away headlines Wednesday card

HARRINGTON, DE – Breakaway Racing and Yorwollohan Racing’s Speed Away ($4.40, Corey Callahan) was a 1:55 winner in the $18,000 Open Trot Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.

The 7-year-old Father Patrick gelding blasted from the start and made the front near the opening quarter and was a dominant winner over Mickey Muscles and Canoe Trip. Trained by Nick Callahan, Speed Away’s last 14 wins have come at Harrington. It was the third win on the card for driver Corey Callahan.

Earlier on the card, Howard Taylor’s Bourbon Buzz N($4, Callahan) improved to 2-for-2 at Harrington with a 1:57 romp for trainer Tom Shay. Driver Jason Thompson also had 3 wins on the program.
