A trio of stud-sired trotters, Aldebaran Boyd (Aldebaran Eagle USA), Eagle Hanover NZ (Aldebaran Eagle USA) and Watch And Act (Skyvalley NZ), advanced their stakemoney tallies to beyond $100,000 during August.

Aldebaran Boyd reached the milestone when he notched his 12th success at Pinjarra, while Eagle Hanover’s seventh win at Cambridge Raceway netted her connections $11,000 and eked out her stakes total to $105,259.
Watch And Act’s runners-up cheque at the all-trotters’ meeting at Bendigo pushed his lifetime earnings to over the six figure mark.
Our homebred star Aldebaran Zeus finished a gallant second off a 30 metre handicap at his farewell appearance at Melton, zipping home the final quarter in 28.3 seconds. He retires to stand stud at Aldebaran Park with 23 wins and 24 placings from 89 starts and $599,017 in earnings.
Skyvalley NZ, who is currently second on the national all aged winners’ list and third based on stakemoney, led in six individual winners for the month.
They were the two-year-old Just A Journey (Melton), the three-year-olds Kiss At Midnight (Melton) and The Dark Thunder (Bendigo), Mac Flick Tr 1:59.5 (Bendigo), Floating Mountain (Geelong) and Rarity Rock (Cranbourne).
Aldebaran Eagle USA, whose frozen semen is available in NZ this coming season, sired winners in three different countries last month.
In Australia, Dichotomy posted her 11th success at Melton in Victoria rating 1:58.1 and Aldebaran Dexta saluted for the 19th time at Globe Derby Park, while in NZ, Eagle Hanover recorded back-to-back successes at Cambridge.
Meanwhile in USA, Lair Of The Eagle (out of a Skyvalley NZ mare) won twice at Plainridge Park, Massachusetts in 1:56.2 and 1:56.4.
Other recent winners from Skyvalley NZ mares were Im Bobby (Melton twice and Menangle), Keayang Gypsy (2:00) and Maori Franklin (both Melton), Silver Spoon (Globe Derby Park), Abbie and the two-year-old filly Zoolu.
Aldebaran Park bred seven winners during August including the American winners Generally Speaking (Readly Express Swe-Maori Time), a winner in 1:54 at Hoosier Park, Indiana, and Lair Of The Eagle (Aldebaran Eagle USA-Never Never Land), who scored twice at Plainridge Park.
The three-year-old fillies Aldebaran Sue (Father Patrick USA-Aldebaran Shakira) and Giggle Water (Volstead USA-Aldebaran Daisy), Aldebaran Boyd (Aldebaran Eagle USA-Aldebaran Revenue), Aldebaran Dexta (Aldebaran Eagle USA-Aldebaran Deegan NZ) and Abbie (Majestic Son Ca-Aldebaran Peggy) were other winners bred and raised by Aldebaran Park.

The 2025/26 Stud Season looms and we are “Hot to Trot” at Aldebaran Park.
With Aldebaran Zeus now residing on farm to commence his stud duties, the young stallion’s fresh/chilled semen will be available in Australia and NZ, along with Skyvalley NZ being available to Australia breeders and Aldebaran Eagle USA available via frozen semen to NZ breeders, an exciting season looms.
