Leading New South Wales reinsman Cameron Hart had the record books being analysed after he won six races at Sydney’s premier venue on Saturday evening.
Hart commenced proceedings by taking out the first four heats of the Carousel and in his own indomitable style was able to work to the lead which was a case of shut the gate to the opposition. And those first three heats were taken out by leading trainer Jason Grimson.

The first was with the Mick Boots owned Miki Cohen (Always B Miki). Then the highly promising three year colt Our Sweet Delight (Sweet Lou) followed up with his last win at Menangle with another impressive display. The third winner was with Tuapeka Lou (Sweet Lou) who has now won his last four on end.
But the best was yet to come for Hart. Driving for his cousin Chris Judd on Alta William (Alta Christiano) he gave yet another faultless show of front running.
Grimson then backed up with Himynameisjeff (Art Major) and the eight year old worked his way to the lead and he just kept going for an effortless win.
Finally Hart was on the Darren Binskin trained Our Sadie Kay (Art Major) and she secured a trail behind the hot favourite The Answer. However as she issued a challenge down the home straight The Answer shifted out taking her running which were grounds for a protest which was subsequently upheld.
OUR SADIE KAY SEP 13 REPLAY
Hart was his usual modest self following his record breaking feat.
“Yes it’s pretty crazy I wouldn’t have thought that I would have had a record with that. There’s a lot of dominant reinsmen at Menangle but it’s definitely a big thrill to get six tonight.”
“And its been six winners with three different trainers and all three have been big supporters of mine week in week out so its great to get good results with them.”
“I hate protests, I don’t enjoy them I’m pretty laid back and keep out of trouble but it’s part of racing sometimes. We are racing 500kg animals and things can go wrong sometimes luckily we got a good result and it was a pretty easy result for the stewards.”
“Dj (Binskin)has been great for my career he’s always been someone I can go to for advice whenever I need it when I moved up here. I’ve been doing a fair amount of driving for him lately which is awesome.”
Hart has now drawn well clear in both the Metropolitan and State drivers premiership and looks to have both titles to add to his already glittering career. It’s certainly a wonderful achievement for such a great reinsman who maintains a modest and unassuming demeanour.
