“He’s shaping up to be quite a nice horse for the future,” trainer Brad Williamson said after talented three year old trotter To The Moon And Back (One Over Da Moon) driven by Kerryn Tomlinson, beat six older rivals at Gore today.
TO THE MOON AND BACK REPLAY

Williamson says the talented trotter has some big targets coming up, including the $200,000 Group One New Zealand Trotting Derby on 21st November at Addington.
“That’s the target at this stage. Obviously there are some really good three year olds but he’s a nice wee horse himself. If he’s fit and well and race-ready we’ll have a crack.”
He’s also confirmed that the connections of To The Moon And Back have taken a slot in the $500,000 The Ascent on Show Day at Addington where he’ll take on the likes of Meant To Be, Tarragindi and a bunch of talented Australian trotters.
“There are plenty of good races coming up for him but he’s going to have to keep improving to get into that company.”
The gelding started off the 15 metre handicap today over 2200 metres and after sitting parked got up to beat La Dama by half a head.
Williamson says To The Moon And Back has improved a lot since he first hit the racetrack in May.
“He was making mistakes at his first three or four starts but he showed he had a lot of ability because he was still able to run placings. He’s matured through the season and the racing experience has helped with his manners particularly.”
