On Tuesday’s (Sept 30) program at Northville Downs at Barry Expo Center, former Michigan Stakes harness racing champion Two Birds Onestone (Black Daniels – She B Jeebeez), with driver Jennifer Main, blistered the all-time track record that they just set one week ago.

In race 15 on the afternoon, Two Birds Onestone left alertly from post five and settled on the lead. He and driver Jennifer Main never looked back following fractions of 27.4, 55.2, 1:24.1 and went on to win by a widening four and three-quarter-length advantage while stopping the timer in 1:53. This established a new all-time track record for any gait, sex or age and also established a new record for an aged pacing gelding at the Hastings, MI oval. Both records were lowered one and two-fifths seconds from the previous week.

Two Birds Onestone is owned by Carl Putnam, Jr.  and is trained by Steve Main. The five-year-old gelding has now earned $ 342,288 and secured a record of 80 starts 33 wins 12 seconds and 5 thirds.

Earlier on the program, Not Fake New’s (Manhardt – Lock Up’s Galley) and driver David Lake lowered the record for a three-year-old gelding pacer to 1:59.3. Not Fake New’s is trained by Marvin Craft and owned by Eugene Schrauben.

13 year-old stallion Celebrity Pegasus (Andover Hall – Celebrity Athena) lowered his previous track record for an aged trotting horse to 1:58.3 and established the newest all-trot record with Kody Massey aboard for owner/trainer Samuel Eicher.

Racing Glory (Racing Hill – Rock For Glory) closed from a pocket trip to win and add her name to a now three-way tie for the aged pacing mare track record of 1:56.4. She is owned by Marjorie Deshetsky and trained by Kent Hess.

And finally, Rankin (Enterprise – Luvyaformiles) lowered his previously set track record for four-year-old trotting geldings from 1:59.1 to 1:58.4. Charles Taylor drove Rankin who is bred/trained/owned by Judy Roegner.

Driver David Lake led all drivers on the afternoon with three wins while Charles Taylor, Ty Goodell, Tim Roach and Kody Massey each had two. Trainer Tim Roach had a training double on the day as well.

Racing resumes Wednesday (Oct 1) in Hastings. MI at Northville Downs with a first race post time of 1pm ET.
