CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The Thursday evening harness racing program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park is headlined by the Open trotters in Race 10 with $4,000 at stake.

The 10-dash Thursday card has a 6 P.M., opening post time.

The Preferred-class square-gaiters line up in the evening’s marquee event in the race 10 finale with Buckhead Ridge the morning line favourite at 5-2 from post 7. Marc Campbell will drive the 19-time winner for trainer Landon Campbell and owner Brady Doyle of Stratford. The five-year-old son of Nuncio has been racing in career form this season with 14 wins on the Island in 2025.

Fresh off a string of sharp miles, Fight Song is rated at 3-1 as the second choice from post 8 for trainer Ashley Gamester and driver Jason Hughes. The Kadabra gelding comes into the clash off a series of on-the-board finishes and will look to add to his seasonal bankroll.

Helpfull Princess (To be driven by Ambyr Campbell) has been knocking on the door in recent weeks and gets post 4 for trainer Luke Burke.

Also in the mix are Glider Man (Ken Murphy), Rocket Blast (Corey MacPherson), Labero (Gilles Barrieau), Majian Salsa (Jim Ripley), and Ripped And Ready (Brett Clow).

The Post Time Picks lean to Buckhead Ridge on top:
“Campbell didn’t wait long last week powering to the lead and Buckhead Ridge was a going away winner from post six. He’s back on the grandstand side but we’re confident Marc maps out a trip so get ready for win number 15 on the season.”

Earlier on the card also features the $2,800 National Electrical Trade Council pace for fillies and mares in race 5. Sensational Gal has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favourite for trainer Nicholas Oakes, owner JD Racing Inc., of Cornwall and driver Gilles Barrieau from post 2. The four-year-old daughter of Rollwithitharry has five foes including Hosskat (Marc Campbell) as the 3-1 second choice on the morning line.

Fans can wager from the track or online through HPIBET.com, and watch the Red Shores Race Day broadcast at Redshores.ca.
