Lexington, KY – Trotting filly Ebb N Flow was the top seller during Thursday’s fourth session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, purchased at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion by Sabine Kagebrant, as agent for Courant Inc., for $145,000.

Ebb N Flow, a daughter of Green Manalishi S-Hustle Heart, is a half-sister to stakes-winner Fly Light. She is out of the family of 2008 Hambletonian Oaks winner Creamy Mimi and Dan Patch Award-winner Pizza Dolce, the grandam of 2022 Trotter of the Year Bella Bellini. Creamy Mimi is the dam of French Cafe, the mother of Dejeuner, who sold for $1 million on the Lexington sale’s opening night.

Bred by Al Libfeld and consigned by Kentuckiana Farms, Ebb N Flow is Ontario and Kentucky eligible.

Two other yearlings sold for six figures on Thursday – pacing filly Ivy Station and pacing colt Sun Hawk.

Ivy Station, a daughter of Papi Rob Hanover-Indra Hanover, was purchased for $110,000 by Rick Berks. The Pennsylvania and Kentucky eligible, whose family includes millionaire Newborn Sassy, was bred and raised by Spring Station Bloodstock.

Sun Hawk, a son of Bulldog Hanover-Kiss Me Onthebeach, was purchased for $100,000 by Brandon Arsenault, as agent for Gregg McNair. The Ontario eligible was bred by Willow Oak Ranch and consigned by Hunterton Sales Agency.

Thursday’s fourth session of the sale saw 195 yearlings sell for a total of $4.36 million, an average of $22,400. Last year, 208 horses sold on Day 4 for $5.86 million, an average of $28,216.

So far this year, 766 horses have sold for $56.88 million, an average of $74,265. Last year through four sessions, the gross was $61.04 million for 771 horses, an average of $79,171.

The fifth and final session of the sale begins at 7 p.m. Friday.
