Burnham trainer Mark Jones reports Tact McLeod (Sweet Lou) has been back jogging for five weeks.
“The first couple of weeks were only a couple of times a week but he’s now every day and a scan a month ago was very promising. He gets scanned at the end of October and may start pace work in November. He’ll do six weeks of pace work then go to the water walker for a month,” he said.
After a month on the water walker Tact McLeod will have a short spell and then be put back into work.

After running creditable races in the New Zealand Cup and the New Zealand Free For All, Tact McLeod embarked on an Australian campaign.
In eight starts there he recorded a win, three seconds and two thirds.
He was beaten by a neck by Swayzee in the Cordina Group Sprint, ran third in the Cranbourne Cup behind Leap To Fame and Don’t Stop Dreaming, third in the Miracle Mile won by Don Hugo and fourth in the Hunter Cup behind Swayzee, Leap To Fame and Republican Party.
Tact McLeod was found to have had a tendon issue right round the pastern which vets believe is an old injury.
