Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 2:47pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

My Bonnie Lass (6) Big motor and hard to catch if she found the front. Manners still not 100%
Glendhu Mischief (2) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Driver respect and needed
Sonny Jim (4) Getting better with racing and a place chance at longer odds with a soft trip

Race 2

Haley Robyn (3) Go too far back last start and easier here. Not the worst if she goes forward early
Nyla (2) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. Each way claims in this field
Superfast (1) Improver from her last start and drawn for a soft run in transit. Top three chance 

Race 3

Franco Seb (2) Looked good in recent trial outings and draw to be competitive here. Winning claims
Shiver In The Dark (1) Another with good trial form and from the ace draw might take some catching
The Bricklayer (5) Good effort last start and wide draw the only concern. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Tosana (3) Manners let her down last start but better than that. Has gate speed and can go close here
Elektra King (7) Stable respect and will start at short odds in this. Looks very hard to hold out in this
Close (6) Did plenty of work but stuck well last start in a similar field. Place hopes again but wide draw

Race 5

Havtimewillfly (5) Freshened and looks stronger this time in. Stable will have her ready to go here
Ada R J (4) Building up a good form line and place claims again in this lineup. Good each way chance
Havtimetodream (8) Raced in some good fields last campaign. Wider draw but speedy. Include

Race 6

Ya Rite Darl (4) Good against tougher fields recently and Canterbury horses do well here. Top selection
Dash Dosh (2) Should get a soft run handy from the draw and top driver booked. Each way claims
Have A Little Faith (1) Never out of the money but this is a strong field. Should give a good account

Race 7

Emily (9) Good beginner who rates highly in stand start events. Will need luck but could surprise
Our Pinocchio (6) In form and will go forward early. Should go close to placing in this. Needed
Markthewarrior (4) In good form and top driver sticks with. Top three chance again in this field

Race 8

Rock Or Bust (10) Tough win last start and stable in great form. Will start a short priced favourite
Nek Delight (8) Decent motor and wide draw a concern fresh up. Chance with a cart into the race
Dare Devil (1) Best draw for some time and dangerous with a sit. Winning claims at longer odds

Race 9

Beluga (3) Progressive type who will be fitter this time up. Good draw and hard to beat in this
Captain Amore (1) Decent motor and is drawn much better this time. One of the better chances
Durrant (6) Disappointing last start. Not the worst at longer odds if he gets a good run in transit
