The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is pleased to announce the 2025 roster of scholarship recipients.

Harold & Marcia Snyder Memorial (sponsored by International Sound)

Hannah Dingledine from Mechanicsburg, Ohio received $7500. She is attending Wright State University and studying biological sciences with intent on becoming a veterinarian. Having grown up with harness racing family members and livestock, Hannah admittedly is a “very goal driven” person who decided to attend college to “pursue one of my passions.”

Jonas Scott from Warwick, Maryland received $3500. He is a senior at Bucknell University and studying computer science and engineering. He is heavily involved in his parents’ harness racing stable; “this support has given me the freedom to pursue opportunities like internships that provided real-world experience…just as importantly, the HHYF has helped me stay connected to my passion for harness racing, balancing time at the barn and the races with my academic work.”

Ryley Fusco, a sophomore studying biology and psychology at University of North Carolina/Charlotte, received $1500. She also comes from a New Jersey harness racing family and states that “one thing the harness industry has taught me is a loss is not a failure but fuel to try harder.” Ryley also was the recipient of the $2500 Curt Greene Memorial Scholarship for this academic year.

Sweet Karen Memorial

Samantha Mayhugh received $1000 to pursue her bachelor of science in agriculture degree at the Ohio State University. She hopes to eventually work for a business or association that promotes harness racing and is from Circleville Ohio.

Applications for all HHYF scholarships for the 2026 academic year will be available December 1 using this link: https://hhyf.org/scholarships/
