REGULAR FALL SCHEDULE THIS WEEK

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows continues its regular fall schedule this week, with racing at 12:45pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.

TROTTERS LINE UP FOR WEDNESDAY FEATURE

A total of 14 races are carded for Wednesday afternoon, and the feature will be Race #7 on the card, an $11,800 NW6 Trot.  Last week’s winner is back in the same class, the Ron Burke trainee Tactical Dynasty.  After starting his season 0-for-10, the sophomore gelding by Tactical Landing was brought to The Meadows last week and earned a 1:54.4 victory.  He has been installed as the 3-2 morning line favorite with Ronnie Wrenn listed to drive.  Also driving in the 7th race is Jim Pantaleano, who is listed behind #9 Secret Kaos Theory, out of the Sarah Andrews Stable.  It will be the first local appearance this season for Pantaleano, a former Meadows regular.  He has a total of 7 drives scheduled for the afternoon.

GLADA TROT THURSDAY

The Meadows will host another leg of the Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association Trot on Thursday, going for a purse of $10,000.  A field of 8 has drawn into the field.  Elizabeth Snyder, daughter of local trainer and longtime driver Doug Snyder, has drawn post 6 with Spicy Nugget.  The duo is 2-for-2 this season in GLADA events at The Meadows.  The most recent GLADA winner at The Meadows, Brandon Presto, will drive Dart Guy from post 8.  The pair combined for a win on October 9 in 1:55.2.

PALONE EXPANDS LEAD

Dave Palone, who was inducted this past weekend into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, shows no signs of slowing down.  After Ronnie Wrenn opened the early lead among top winning drivers at The Meadows this season, Palone has caught and passed Wrenn in three key driving categories – wins, winning percentage and Universal Driver Rating.  Palone holds the advantage in wins by 40, 337-297 entering this week.  Palone has won 26.6% of his drives this year, compared to 25.3% for Wrenn.  Palone has now pushed his UDRS to .411, with Wrenn a close second at .407.  Wrenn holds the advantage in purse earnings, $3.17 million to $2.88 million.
