Addington slot race fields nearing completion

The fields are all but complete for the two $500,000 slot races at Addington Raceway on Show Day.

All 10 harness racing runners have been confirmed for the Majestic Horse Floats THE ASCENT while there is one space left in the Hill, Lee and Scott THE VELOCITY.

THE ASCENT features top Australian filly Tracy The Jet, trained by Jess Tubbs. She has won eight from 13 including her last six in a row.

Tracy The Jet is the favourite with the TAB though there are five runners in single figures – Tracy The Jet ($3), Meant To Be ($3.20), Habibti Pat ($4.80), Ya Rite Darl ($5.50) and Tarragindi ($9).

THE VELOCITY, in contrast, looks to be a match race between arch rivals Marketplace and Got The Chocolates, both at $2.10. Rubira is next at $9.

Both slot races are a key part of a bumper Show Day meeting on Friday, November 14 that also includes the Group 1 Pacing and Trotting Free For Alls and the Sires’ Stakes Group 1s for the 2YO Trotters ($100,000) and the 2YO Pacing Fillies ($200,000).
