With a confident steer by Jeremy Smith, Cecil Hanover (Chapter Seven) cruised to harness racing victory in the $28,000 Open Trot in Wednesday action (Nov. 5) at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway.

When the field of six got underway, Cecil Hanover split rivals to get the first call.
Oh Look Magic (Chris Page) was forced to go to the top from the outside post #6 and led the field past the opening quarter in :28.
Cecil Hanover was not content with the pocket trip and retook the lead well before the half-mile station in a casual :57.3.
Mohatu As (Tony Hall) was the first to make a move, providing needed cover for Prince Of Honor (Sam Widger).
The compact group of trotters went past the three-quarters in 1:26.1.
Prince Of Honor made a break in stride around the far turn, allowing ample room for Oh Look Magic and Drink Up Drink Up to make late rallies.
But Cecil Hanover was clear of Oh Look Magic by three-quarters of a length in 1:53.4. Drink Up Drink Up was another 2 ½ lengths back in third.
CECIL HANOVER REPLAY
The five-year-old gelded son of Chapter Seven won for the fifth time this season and for the fourteenth time of his career.
Cecil Hanover is owned by the trio of Fac Racing, Yannick Gingras and Jaiden Gingras. He is conditioned by Per Engblom.
In the $14,000 condition trot, the heavily favored Gimpanzee Dancer (Jeremy Smith) rallied from well back to score a half-length win.
Sweet Mr Pinetucky (Marvin Luna) and Roberts Hanover (Kayne Kauffman) were the quickest of the wings, but In The End (Chris Page) cleared before the opening quarter in :28.
Team Bravo (Charles Bolen) was left outside and was required to come first-up at the half in :57.
Back in seventh with excess cover was Gimpanzee Dancer at the half in :57 and was sixth at the three-quarters in 1:25.3.
Going wide around the final turn, Gimpanzee Dancer had the leader measured and nipped In The End in 1:57.3.
Robert’s Hanover was a length clear of Forceful Power (Hugh Beatty) for third.
The sophomore son of Gimpanzee is co-owned by trainer Chrisopher Beaver, breeder Derek Ivany and Carolina Acosta.
Jeremy Smith would win four on the day, tying Chris Page for the most on the 14-race card.
Dayton Raceway returns to action on Thursday (Nov. 6) afternoon with a 14-race card starting at 4:00 PM.
