Barrieau and Twin B Tuffenuff take aim at third straight

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Veteran star Twin B Tuffenuff (Rock N Roll Heaven) will look to add to his impressive harness racing resume in the $5,500 preferred pace Saturday afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Twin B Tuffenuff

The capital oval hosts an 11-dash program with first post time at 12:30 P.M. The day’s Race 10 feature gathers five of the region’s top free-for-all pacers in one tight group.

Leaving from post 5, Twin B Tuffenuff has driver Gilles Barrieau aiming for three-straight with the Ron Matheson trainee for owner Pat Morris of Charlottetown. The classy son of Rock N Roll Heaven boasts over $825,000 in lifetime earnings and has been a consistent force on the Eastern seaboard all season. Barrieau engineered a strong 1:54.4 win in Twin B Tuffenuff’s latest start and will again look to control the pace from the outside position.

Bee Two Bee (Jason Hughes) is another powerhouse as the Sunshine Beach stallion remains one of the division’s most versatile performers for trainer Ashley Gamester and will look to capitalize on his 5-2 morning line promise from post 3.

Wind Blown (to be driven by Corey MacPherson) has rail control from the Phil Sizer barn.

Malignity (Paul Langille) has won three of his last five races and has post 2 while TH Boomtown (Ken Murphy) holds down post 4.

The Post Time Picks gives the slight edge to Bee Two Bee.

“Bee Two Bee popped off cover two starts back and was able to reel in the field but got the same trip in his last start and didn’t have the same pop late in the mile. He had the week off last week to recharge, so I’m betting he bounces back with a big effort today.”

The program finale in Race 11 has a wide-open look as eight starters clash for a $3,050 purse.

Freight Air will look to deliver for driver Brodie MacPhee and trainer Neil Bambrick from post 2. The son of Jimmy Freight was a powerful winner in 1:56.1 last time out and lands in an ideal spot to repeat for owner Alex MacPhee.

Phil Dorleans (Adam Merner) is another major player from post 5 for trainer Adam Merner along with Blue Moose (Harold Shepherd) from post 8 and Neptune Seelster (Brady Sweet) with post 3.
