Hey Hey Mama defeated four harness racing rivals and cruised to a 1:51 victory in Thursday’s (Nov. 13) $28,000 Filly-Mare Open Pace at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway.

Hey Hey Mama (Luke Hanners) took the early lead and controlled the fractions of :28.3 and :57, and used a :54 final half to prevent any real challenge.
The five-year-old Downbytheseaside mare defeated her stablemate and pocket sitting Foxy Hill (Tyler Smith) by 1 ¼ lengths.
Fearless Ginger (Chris Page) was 1 ¼ length clear of Beautiful Lather (Jeremy Smith) to round out the trifecta.
The winner is co-owned by Odds On Racing and trainer Virgil Morgan, Jr.
HEY HEY MAMA REPLAY
In the $18,000 condition claiming pace for fillies and mares, Cinamontoastcrunch (Sam Widger) used a perfect pocket trip to spring a 12-1 upset.
Real Star was hustled off the gate’s wings by Trevor Smith from post #5, parking the heavy favorite, Lady Café Au Lait (Chris Page) for the entire mile.
The leader was able to carve out the fractions of :27, :56 and 1:24.
Lady Café Au Lait couldn’t get past the leader and faded to fifth down the lane.
Cinamontoastcrunch popped the pocket and held off a closing Plays In The Shade (Cameron McCown) by a half-length in 1:53.1.
The pace-setting Real Star held on for third.
Cinamontoastcrunch, who paid $25.80 to win, is the sophomore daughter of Captain Crunch. She is co-owned by the tri of Ervin Miller Stable, Douglas Overhiser & Levi Bontrager.
Driver Luke Hanners enjoyed a big day with four wins.
A 14-race card is scheduled for 4:00 PM on Friday (Nov. 14).
