Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with 8 races on the card. The racing starts at 4:17pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R7  Captain Kobe

Race 1

S S Guppy (7) Looks stronger this time in and stable respect here. Has to be included
Melton Enforcer (6) Small field will help and House team hard to beat on this track. Needed
Lilith (8) First starter with trial form. Winning claims on debut with a good run in transit

Race 2

All Muscled Up (8) Last two have been good and easier here. One of the better chances
So Mystifying (7) Depends on early manners but a definite winning chance here. Include
Cool Phelan (4) Improver from her last start and weaker field. One for longer odds

Race 3

Major Moonshine (3) Has run three good seconds and can go one better in this line-up
Fear The Diva (6) Disappointing last start but a threat to the favourite with a good trip
Indisposed (7) Good effort last start but tricky draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Princess Lisa (9) Drops in grade here and stable respect. Should give a good account
Santanna Mach (5) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Getting older but has claims
Jahi (1) Fine run of recent form and drawn well. Place chance with a trailing position

Race 5

Million Dollar Chic (4) Battled on last start in a stronger field. Goes well on the track
Cyamate (5) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance
Run Mason Run (1) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip.

Race 6

Koko Kaboom (2) Good win two starts ago and like it here. Hard to beat against this lot
Jaccka Baylis (3) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw. Improver
Highview Rockn Roll (1) Drawn well here but will need manners. Can win with no errors

Race 7

Captain Kobe (8) Pegs draw and will need luck. Could surprise with any gaps late
Fusion Reactor (2) Freshened and should go close to placing in this. Draw helps here
Twista (6) At his best would go close to winning. Top three chance if he gets handy early

Race 8

Dixieland Delight (1) Drawn the ace here and looks a good bet. One of the better chances
Shezabettorgirl (3) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Could surprise
Matai Harry (8) Disappointing last start. Weaker field and has been freshened. Include
