Oamaru selections 10th December 2025

Best Bet:  R6 Nubliah Chamay

Best Value:  R5   Hugo

Race 1

A Bettors Legacy (2) Looks stronger this time in and stable does well  here. Winning claims
Hughes Two Me (5) Small field will help and normally a reliable beginner. Needed in combos
Clap For The Wolfman (4) First starter with trial form. Upset claims on debut with a good trip

Race 2

Brother Rob (9) Debut run was good and looks one of the better chances in this field
Iamthecaptainnow (2) A definite winning chance here after some good recent form. Include
Art Jordan (8) Improver from his last start and weaker field. One for longer odds in this

Race 3

Amistozo (6) Has run several good trials and can go close on debut. One of the better chances
Mister (1) Disappointing last start but a threat to the favourites with a good run in transit
Bacardi Doll (2) Good effort last start and quick beginner. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Logan Rock (7) Battled on last start in a stronger field. Goes well on grass and can run top three
Flyaway (5) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance with a soft trip
Ultimate Perfection (3) Not the worst in this after some indifferent runs. Chance with manners

.

Race 5

Hugo (4) Good beginner who goes ok on grass. Might press forward early here. Needed here
Take The Miki (8) Big effort to win last start and will be improved. Tricky draw but hard to beat
Mighty Flying Lou (2) Drawn well here and will be fitter after last start second. Winning claims

Race 6

Nubliah Chamay (11) Easy win last start should be around the money with a tidy drive
Mad Jack (15) Big motor and manners the only concern, ability isn’t in question. Include
Majesdix (10) Racing consistently and looks well placed to grab another minor cheque here

Race 7

The Will (6) At her best would go close to winning. Needs to step cleanly and will be right in it
Transtasman Bubble (9) Wide draw but hasn’t had much go right lately. Worth a look at odds
Moa Mojito (5) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Could surprise here

Race 8

Still B Miki (2) Drawn well here and looks a good bet. Will start favourite and should go close
Hes Santas Excuse (6) A bit in or out. Goes best in front and might push forward. Could surprise
Tallandfast (3) Disappointing last start. Stable do well on the track and one for longer odds here

Race 9

He’s Tough (4) Quick beginner due to get back into winning form. Normally a quick beginner
Seaside Pond (9) Decent motor and looks well placed here. One of the better chances in this
Ultimate Counsel (2) Driver change for this and quick beginner. Upset claims with a trail
