London upsets in Prix Leon Tacquet in Paris

On today’s Paris-Vincennes harness racing card was the Prix Maurice de Gheest (Gr II International, 120,000€ purse, 2175 meters, 12  three year old starters)  where 6.7/1 odds Neuvo Cash (3m Ready Cash-Enamorada-Goetmals Wood) scored for reinsman Theo  Duvaldestin and the breeder/owner/trainer Thierry Duvaldestin.

This was the second career win in seven starts for this winner of 114,745€. Second was the game12/1 Nelson Emge (3m Hohneck-Classical Quality-Repeat Love)driven by Benjamin Rochard for Ecurie Dry and conditioner Marc Sassier. 

Never Forget (3m Hohneck-Valley Victoria-Defi d’Aunou) took third at 34/1 odds with Esteban De Jesus up for Ecurie Des Aulnaies and trainer Alexandre De Jesus. US Darby (3m Tony Gio-Princess Kronos-Donato Hanover) was fourth at 67/1 driven by Christophe Martens, trainer Vincent Martens and Bruni Racing Team AB.

The 8.4/1 Caviar From Mine (6m SJs Caviar-Mellby Fashion) scored in 1.14.1kr to win the Prix de Vic Sur Cere (purse 71,000€, 2850 meters, 16 European starters six year olds) with Benjamin Rochard driving.

Jorgen Westholm trains this five time winner in 12 starts in France for 226,699€. Team Westholm AB owns the winner that defeated 22/1 Brothers In Arms (6m Fabulous Wood-Elusive Melody) that Matthieu Abrivard reined for trainer Wolfgang Nimczyk and owner Hermann Lehner. The 10/1Pantocrator (6g Quarcio du Chene-Immaculata) was home third for driver Paul Philippe Ploquin and trainer Simon Rousselle for Tord Olsson. The Prix Leon Tacquet (Gr III International, purse 80,000€, 2700 meters, 10 starters ages 5-6) today at Paris-Vincennes saw 9/1 odds London (5f Rockfeller Center-Tilda) that scored easily for trainer/jockey Matthieu Mottier timed in 1.13.0kr.

She now sports six wins in 29 outings for 354,970€. Danielle Mottier bred and owns the winner. The 16/1 Kapaula de L’Epine (6f Discours Joyueux-Paula Jim) was a distant second handled by jockey Adrien Lamy for owner/trainer J.G. Van Eeckhaute followed by 1.6/1 odds favorite Keengame (6f Express Jet-Red Bell) with Anthony Barrier aboard for Ecurie Hunter Valley and trainer J.P. Monclin. Elegance Kronos (6f Muscle Hill-Pampered Winner) at 8.9/1 odds was  fourth for jockey Alexandre Abrivard in charge for owner Jean Pierre Barjon and trainer Laurent Claude Abrivard.
