CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Bee Two Bee will go for his sixth straight in Saturday afternoon preferred harness racing action at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 14-dash Saturday program kicks off at 12:30 P.M., for the first card of the 2026 racing season.

The $5,100 Preferred Pace in race 13 highlights the card and brings together a deep group of top-level pacers.

Captainofrocknroll leaves from post 1 with Ken Murphy driving for trainer Jennifer Doyle in his first start in Canada after racing in New York. Impeccable Shadow is a major contender from post 2 with Paul Langille aboard after winning his last two. Howmac Maximus draws post 3 for driver Corey MacPherson and trainer Tammy Collings, while Merigo Magic lines up from post 4 for trainer-driver Adam Merner after hitting the triactor in all his preferred appearances. T H Boomtown gets post 5 with Gilles Barrieau handling the lines from the Ron Matheson barn after winning the Preferred-2 in his last start.

Race favourite Bee Two Bee starts from post 6 with Jason Hughes driving from the Ashley Gamester Stable. The son of Sunshine Beach has won his last five starts at this level and has not raced since Dec. 20.

The Backstretch Beat is siding with Bee Two Bee.

“Bee Two Bee is on a major roll right now and was a dominant gate-to-wire winner last time out. He’s been assigned post six for this start, but won from here before so we’re calling for the win streak to hit six-straight.”

The $4,200 Open Trot goes in race 7 and features another classic match-up between Buckhead Ridge (To be driven by Barrieau) for trainer Landon Campbell from post 4 and Fight Song (Hughes) with post 5.

The $2,900 PEISHOA Pace is slated for race 5 and has Dusty Lane Zoro (Donald MacNeill) the top choice from post 5 for trainer Ronnie Gass.

The program will also see top Maine driver Drew Campbell with a pair of drives after last racing at Plainridge Racecourse in Massachusetts in September. The winner of 6,140 races and $23 million in purses will steer Majestic Mason for trainer Rick Armstrong in race 8 and Doctor Grenfell in race 14 for trainer Nicholas Oakes.
