Harness racing hits Nelson again today with 11 races on the card. The racing starts at 11:55am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Rack’em Up (1) Fought well last start and should run top three again in this field. One of the best chances
Hope For Love (7) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Distance suits for this and can upset
Trendy Van Gogh (3) Getting better with racing and has gate speed. One to boost up the exotics

Race 2

Luca (1) Racing well and stable respect around this circuit. Will start favourite in this field
Harmonica (6) Ok last start is stronger and just needs manners to be a threat. Include here
Ridge (7) Top driver booked and blew the start on day one. Hard to beat if he steps away cleanly

Race 3

Hawk Touie Louie (4) Looked a big improver after his fresh up disappointment. Better run expected
Major Li (5) Has great form and trainer normally gets a winner on the circuit. Needed here
Now Watch Me (6) Good effort last start and can sneak into the top three with luck in running

Race 4

Hoof It Hagrid (3) Has been racing against some nice horses and will be hard to beat after first day 2nd
Crown The Moment (4) Not far away lasts start and should give a good account with a similar effort
Loveyou To Da Skye (7) Still a bit green and manners needed early. Has the speed to be a major factor

Race 5

Stumpy Blackler (2) Fought on last start in a stronger field. Looks a solid top three player from the draw
Shanky’s Shot (1) Disappointing last start but well placed here. Good each way chance from the ace
Dancing N Heaven (9) Will be fitter after last start. Obvious ability and should run a quick mile. Include

Race 6

Princess Renee (1) Fought on last start in a stronger field and a big upgrade in draws. Top selection
Carrera Kahu (4) Big finish to win last start well placed here. Good each way chance again in this field
Rakero John (7) Ran home well late to win going away on Friday. Will be running on again here

Race 7

Seaside Pond (5) Running on ok last start. Hard to beat if he gets a good run in transit. EW
Ukraine (9) Should get a soft run handy. In good form and one of the better chances in this
Carlin (6) Big finish last start and should be ok from the stand. Can upset with a similar effort

Race 8

Nellie Doyle (9) Good trotter who whipped to the front and won well last start. Handicap might hurt
Mavis Jones (6) Decent motor and had excuses last start. Can push this field if things go her way
Ready Set Jet (5) Not far away last start. Will continue to improve here and should run top three again

Race 9

Candy Cane (2) Better draw but tougher field. Needs a hot pace to show her best form here. Include
Gone Surfin (10) Big motor and should get a run through early. One of the better chances on recent form
Nothing But You (1) Smart at best and would be dangerous if she found the front from the ace draw.

Race 10

It’s Tough (5) Has been racing in fine form and looks a good chance if he begins quickly. Include here
Pinseeker (9) Wide draw but better than most in this field. Has to be respected and drops in class here
Harrison John (7) Good finish last start and short distance suits. Will be running on late again here

Race 11

Captain Tyron (3) Conditions suit and he is flying. Can go close to making it three straight here
The Coalman (9) Big chance if he gets into the race from the tricky draw. Likely top three finish
Don’t Tell Jenny (2) Racing well without much luck. Should give a good account again here
