Jongleuse de Lune takes Prix du Brest

Jongleuse de Lune (7f Cash And Go-Colombe Royale) took today’s Paris-Vincennes co-featured Prix de Brest (Gr III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap,12 European starters ages 6-11) timed in 1.12.7kr with Alexis Collette driving.

This Kevin Leblanc trainee was off at 15/1 odds and recorded  her  15th career win  in 46 starts for Elevage Always With Me. She has earned 367,810€.  The25 meter handicapped and 1.5/1 odds favorite Ino du Lupin was a game second driven by Antoine Wiels for Jean Paul Marmion the trainer/owner of this 25 time winner  in  46 starts. 

Home third was  11/1 Harrison du Plessis (9g Obrillant) handled by Benjamin Rochard. He was followed by 20/1 Combat Fighter (7g From Above) with Gabriele Gelormini up and then   fifth  finishing 35/1 Indus Val (8g Booster Winner) for P-Y  Verva. Icebreaker (6m Chocolatier) was sixth at 5.1/1  odds then 20/1 Dolce Viky (7m Adrian Chip)  was seventh for the final check. What a great race this was as shown below.

The co-featured Prix de Pardieu (Gr II monte, purse 120,000€, 2175 meters, nine four year old starters) saw 1.3/1  odds favorite Mhum Flying (4m  Helgafell-Catalina  du Pont) scored  in 1.10.7kr with jockey Alexandre Abrivard in the irons.

Christophe Clin trains and owns this six time winner in 16 starts for 325,000€. Miss des Besaces (4f Memphis du Rib-Caldeira Turgot) was second at 7.2/1 with Alan Gendrot up for trainer R.C. Larue and Ecurie de Windcut. Melody de Vivoin  (4f Seigneur Aimef) took third at 43/1 with J-Y Ricart aboard for trainer/owner Emmanuel Varin.

Yesterday at Cagnes sur Me the 1.9/1 odds favorite Marie Bashkirtseff (4f Face Time Bourbon-Diamond  Crown-Repeat Love) won  for  the first time in  her career  for  Bruni Racing Team AB. Christophe Martens reined the 1.16.4kr timed winner for conditioner Vincent Martens.

The  5.2/1 Mona Lisa Gede (4f Orlando Vici) was next for Alexandre Pillon followed by 2/1 Moon In The Sky (4d  Heavens Pride) with Theo Briand  at the  lines. Te race was the Prix Moni Maker (purse 22,000€, 2700 meters autostart, nine four year old starters).

Christophe Martens scored two  more driving victories today at Agen la Garenne, the first with  Kingslayer Pellini  (7g Up And Quick-Caddie Dream-Viking Kronos) in 1.13.4kr. This winner of over 191,000€  is a half-brother to Readly Express that won 2,201,824€. Martens also won with Le Laurent du Park (5g Ready Cash-Sometime-Blue Dream) in  1.16.5kr. Vincent Martens trains both.

Tomorrow  tune in for Vincennes action that  includes the classic Prix de Cornulier for 700,000€, a Gr I International monte contest with 18 starters. Two Gr III tests also line the card, the Prix Michel Marcel Gougeon  for six year olds and the Prix de Mirande for five year olds. Both will  be raced over 2700 meters for 90,000€. See you there.
