Today’s Paris-Vincennes undercard showcased two groupe tests the first being the Prix Michel Marcel Gougeon (Gr III, purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 10 starters ages six) where 9/1 Karnac Wood (6m Ready Cash-Qualita Bourbon-Love You-Etta Extra-Florestan-Une Crown) was a coast to coast winner.

Hugues Monthule teamed the Sebastien Guarato trainee for Ecurie Hunter Valley. Race time was 1.12.2kr. Monthule was the caretaker of Bold Eagle the 2016-2017 Amerique winner. Karnac Wood was bred by the legendary Jean Pierre Dubois and now sports 11 carer wins in 23 starts for 212,360€. Finishing second to him was 73/1 odds outsider Kash des Caillons (6m Drole de Jet) handled by driver/trainer/owner Anthonin Favris. Kotkie ( Love You-Erika Dream) was third at 19/1 with Alexis Collette up for J.R. Delliaux.

Karma Power (6g Village Mystic) was fourth as the 3/10 favorite driven by Eric Raffin for William Bigeon training for Joel Seche, followed by 12/1 Kaviarissime (6mLove You-Elegantissime) with trainer Mathieu Mottier up.

The other groupe test was the Prix de Mirande (Gr III European, purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, eight starters age five) where 28/1 Lunella Leman (5f Boccador de Simm-Comete Leman) scored in 1.12.6kr with Benoit Robin up, he also the trainer/owner.

This wasthe winner’s sixth career win in 24 appearances for 169,035€ earned. Lord du Gers (5m Face Time Bourbon) was second at 1.3/1 favorite odds reined by Eric Raffin for trainer Nicolas Bazire and J.M. Rancoule. Little Brown (5m Goetmals Wood-Blue Grass) was third for driver David Thomain for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner/breeder Christophe Toulorge.

Earlier the Prix le Parisien (purse 52,000€, 2100 meters autostart, nine four year old starters) went to 7.8/1 Mohawk (4m Love You-Mahana-Defi d’Aunou) with Mathieu Mottier driving the H.E. Bondo trainee for Cumana Group Srl.

This one was bred by Louis Baudron and he now has four career wins in 13 starts for 69,605€. The dam Mahana won 814,850€ from 11 wins in 27 career starts and was bred by Jean Pierre Dubois. Home second was 1.3/1 odds favorite Maluma d’Angis (4m Ugo de Nieul) with Eric Raffin up.
