Executiv EK takes Prix du Luxembourg

Italy’s 2.5/1 odds Executiv EK (6m Face Time Bourbon-Nike EK-Varenne) was up for a nose victory in 1.10.1kr in the prestigious Prix du Luxembourg (Gr III, purse 100,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 15 starters  ages 5-11) today at Paris-Vincennes.

Alessandro  Gocciadoro teamed and trains this now 703,700€ career earner with this his second win in France. The exceptional dam Nike EK has also produced Always EK (748,183€) and Venesia EK (517,631€).

Second was pacesetter 4.2/1 Horchestro (9g Sam Bourbon-Alisma du  Corta) handled by Eric Raffin for G.R .Huguet training for Gerald  Dambach. JPD  bred this one. Home third  was 56/1 Hulysse Gigeo (9g Reve de Beylev) with J.W.Hallais up, the trainer  and owner. He raced with shoes. Working Class Hero (7m Village Mystic) was fourth at 5.6/1 for Mathieu Mottier and trainer Jorgen Westholm, followed  by 10/1 Jango Vici (7m Dragon des Racques) with Francois Lagadeuc up for trainer Antonio Ripoll Rigo.
