Before a huge crowd at Paris-Vincennes the mare Iroise de la Noe was an 11/1 odds winner for trainer/driver Thomas Levesque in today’s Prix de France (Eqwin Amerique Races, Gr I International, purse 400,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 13 starters ages 4-11).

Iroise de la Noe (8f Tornado Bello-Pollenza de la Noe-Kiwi) brushed to the lead with about 600 meters remaining and maintained a comfortable lead to the line for trainer/driver/owner Thomas Levesque in a race equaling time of 1.09.4kr (1:51.66 mile rate). Fractions were fast and steady.
The winning chestnut mare now sports 13 career wins in 36 starts for 658,300€. She was off at 11/1 odds and defeated great veteran Go On Boy (10mPassword-Balginette-Hasting) at 4.1/1 with Romain Derieux the trainer/driver for new owner Caroline Logier.
He raced with shoes on, the only starter without shoes deferred in whole or part. Third was 3.3/1 odds favorite Francesco Zet (8m Father Patrick-Shaqline) with Benjamin Rochard up for Daniel Reden/Stall Zet that rallied sharply late in the lane.
His stablemate Epic Kronos (6m Muscle Hill-Firely) was fourth at 6.3/1 with Alexandre Abrivard up for Reden/Stall Zet. The Cornulier monte winner Iguski Sautonne (8m Village Mystic-Sara Sautonne) was next at 9/1 followed by Inmarosa (8f Amiral Sacha) at 15/1 and Rikita JP (6f Mister JP) at 91/1 from post 12. Amerique winner Hokkaido Jiel was eighth and Amerique runner-up Josh Power was a misque dq.

Pierre Levesque won this race back to back in 2009-2010 with his trainee Meaunes du Corta. J.P. Barjon owned this champion and he was driven by Pierre in 2010 after Pierre Vercruyysse reined him in 2009 when Pierre Levesque also had the double Amerique winner Offshore Dream. Meaulnes was second in the 2008 Prix de France.
