Aaron Merriman wins eight Monday

Aaron Merriman won eight times throughout Northfield Park’s 15-race harness racing program on Monday (August 31).  Merriman’s triumphs were aboard Can Repeat ($4.00) in race two, The Northern Dude ($3.40) in race three, Regil Tiger ($3.60) in race five, Scootnfordamoney ($3.60) in race six, Fluff Me Up ($4.80) in race nine, Majo Christmasgift ($4.40) in race 11, Rusty’s No Fool ($3.40) in race 13 and Click Boom ($7.80) in race 15. 

Merriman is having a stellar year in 2015.  He has won a total 568 races so far this year, more than any other driver in North America.  Ronnie Wrenn Jr. (531), George Napolitano Jr. (507), Bruce Aldrich Jr. (467) and Corey Callahan (464) complete the top-five winningest drivers in North America this season.        

Last year Merriman became the youngest inductee ever enshrined in Northfield Park’s Wall of Fame at age 36.  He has also won more races than any other driver in the track’s 58-year history.  Aaron began driving in 1997 and has since garnered 7,533 career victories and is approaching $42.5 million in total purse earnings.
