TROIS-RIVIERES, Quebec, October 17, 2015 – After his impressive performance in his last start at the Hippodrome 3R, Force Naturelle is the force to be beckoned with this Sunday in the fifth race feature trot.
The six-year-old gelded son of Victory's Force, was at his best Sept. 27 at 3R as he overpowered the field in the feature trot with a 1:59.3 lifetime mark for trainer/driver Simon Delisle.
Owned by Anne Delisle and Carole Levesque of QC, Force Naturelle made a power move first-over at the half mile pole and then blew by the field after the three-quarters, winning by five and one-half length.
Now with three weeks rest, Force Naturelle returns to the racing wars and faces many opponents that he defeated in his record mile. The biggest obstacle that he faces is having to start from the far outside in post eight.
While Force Naturelle is listed as the 5/2 morning line favorite, he has shown the ability to win from post 8 as his first victory of the season back on May 3 was from the outside post and he won in 2:02.
His main competition will be the always consistently good mare, Kim Sorel, who starts from post three and SOS Striking Monte, who has drawn the rail and two starts back won at 3R in a 13 and three-quarters length romp in 2:01.3.
This is the second to last week of live racing for the 2015 season at the Hippodrome 3R. Post time Sunday is 1:30 pm.
The racetrack is open year-round for simulcasting. For more information visit www.quebecjockeyclub.com.
