Brittany Robertson trainee prevails in Open

Meetyouatmidnight (American Ideal) prevailed in his first start in the local Open Pace at Saratoga Casino and Raceway on Saturday night.

Brittany Robertson owns and trains the four year old pacer who set a lifetime mark last weekend in the $13,000 Winners Over at the Spa.

Drawing the rail for his debut in the $18,000 Open, Meetyouatmidnight sat the pocket to longshot Spinarama (Austin Siegelman) before pacing by him in the stretch en route to victory in 1:52.2.

The win time matched the career mark set just last weekend by Meetyouatmidnight. Spinarama was the runner up while JK Panache (Jim Devaux) came on for third.

Bruce Aldrich Jr. piloted the Open winner who paid $7.50 to win and led an exacta and triple that came back $71 and $647, respectively.

Live racing continues on Sunday afternoon at Saratoga with a first post time of 12:15pm.
