Just the 5 winners for the ring around last week, but we also had four 2nds and four 3rds including a quinella produced by Andrew Fitzgerald and Matthew Cross with their picks, Nyree Franco and Handsome Hero. The quinella paid a tidy $5.30.

While Jay Abernethy took away top tip with his selection Sunhaven Boss ($4.60 – $1.80) at Marlborough, although Joshua Dickie and Ricky May were just behind with their selections Motown ($4.30 – $1.80) and Well Armed ($4.00 – $2.00) respectively also saluting the judge.

John Curtin – Reckons former southerner Bobby Breen could lead and win Race 6.

Joshua Dickie – Goes with Cable Beach to finish the night off well for punters, Race 8.

Oamaru – Saturday Afternoon

Blair Orange – Currently in 2^nd place on the driver’s premiership, Blair thought Sunny Afternoon was his best chance to add to his tally, Race 1.

Mark Jones – Goes with Real Torque, who’s looking for a change in luck, to win Race 6.

Matt Cross – Looking to go one better, Matt goes for Bank Raider to win, Race 7.

Craig Thornley – Thought Torrid Bromac was the best bet in Race 10.

Steven Richardson – Our bookie friend thought Sails was a runner punters could look to back in the "get out stakes", also in Race 10.

Addington – Sunday afternoon

Gavin Smith – Sticks with Great Things Happen to remain unbeaten this campaign, Race 5.

Andrew Fitzgerald – Loved the way Ears Burning won at Rangiora last start and thought he was drawn to dominate Race 7.

Craig Ferguson – Thought Havinaravup could over come a tricky draw to win Race 5.

Nathan Williamson – Hopes Hurricane Banner can bring his A game and be tough to roll in Race 6.
