Bets of the week ringaround – 9th June 2016

Mark Jones had a week to remember, not only did he pick up his first Jewels win with Rocker Band, but he also tipped the highest priced winner for the ringaround!

His tip “Smoke N Fire” was successful in race 5 at Ashburton on Sunday for driver Sam Ottley, who also drove Rocker Band on Saturday in the Jewels.

Others to select winners were, John Curtin, Ricky May and Blair Orange, while Bob Butt was also successful considering he felt Le Reveur was a place bet only behind Monbet.

Brad Williamson – Thought Ruby's Jewel was his best chance, Race 6. 

Nathan Williamson – The Jinja Ninja, the brothers go to war with their tips here, also Race 6.

Rory Mcllwrick – Elusive Flight, In for a big night and Rory thought this fella was the one to back, Race 10.

Auckland – Friday Night

Dylan Ferguson – On The Razzle, Race 1.

Mark Jones – Aymar with the aid of the ace barrier draw looks mighty hard to beat, Race 2.

Cran Dalgety – Lucky Luciano thought from the ace draw, with top junior Andre Poutama on board, that this fella would win, Race 4.

Bob Butt – Le Reveur thought after a great effort behind Monbet, that he was a massive show from the good draw, Race 9.

Andre Poutama – Foray, reckons the old boy can put two wins back to back for new trainer Matt Bowden, Race 9.

Nelson – Friday Afternoon/Sunday Afternoon

Andrew Fitzgerald – South Coaster, thought this guy could break maidens either on Friday or Sunday, Race 1.

Robbie Close – Turpedo Mississippi, thanks to the ace barrier draw, robbie reckons he is a great eachway bet, Race 4.

Gavin Smith – He's Like The Wind, a weak field should see this handy 3yo trotter start at a short price, Race 5.

John Dunn – Letspendthenighttogether, Drawn to either lead or trail here, he was beaten by a good one last start, looks his for the taking, Race 6.

Stephen McNally – Ultimate Fella, drawn to be handy, quinella bet maybe? also in Race 6.

Ricky May – Bettor Buy It, "Very nice horse, one to follow" said Ricky, Race 8

Blair Orange – Sandoval, drawn well, ready to win, Race 9.

Waikato – Sunday Afternoon

Todd Macfarlane – Millview Sienna, sticks with this mare to finish the week on a high, Race 6.

Scott Phelan – American Flybye, better for the run first up, eachway chance, Race 6.
