After a number of minor placings in her driving career, promising junior harness racing driver Sarah O'Reilly broke through and grabbed her first win in the sulky at the Banks Peninsular meeting at Motukarara Raceway yesterday.
Sarah drove a perfect race in the last race of the day behind the Bruce Negus trained Highland Reign.
After sitting three deep on the fence for most of the race Highland Reign got a gap with 100m to go and dashed through late to win going away.
It was win number ten for Highland Reign (7m McArdle – Mainland Reign) with most of the mares wins coming on the grass surface. _______________________________________________________________________________________
