Pompano Beach, FL…March 16, 2021… On the heels of a record breaking 2020-2021 season, Pompano Park has announced a revision for the remainder of the season.
Effective immediately, Pompano will drop the remaining previously scheduled Wednesday dates–March 17, 24 and 31.
Also, the final Thursday will be contested on April 1, with the track dropping April 8. 15. 22 and 29.
Racing will continue on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday schedule through April 27 with the final scheduled program date being Sunday, May 2.
Explaining the revised schedule, Director of Racing Gabe Prewitt said, “It is imperative that we try and schedule competitive fields and, with the diminishing horse population, the only way to ensure a top-notch product for our patrons is to have full fields going behind the starting gate.
“We certainly do not want to diminish this record breaking season with a sub-par product. This will ensure full fields and competitive racing until the very end and we’ll immediately begin gearing up for another record breaker for the 2021-2022 season.”
