Every week people can enter into a drawing to compete in this contest by sharing the contest announcement post on either Twitter or Facebook. A random person from every week's post will be drawn to compete in a 10-race handicapping contest against a NAHU host of their choice. The drawn contestant and their competitor of choice will pick one horse in each of the 10 selected races, with the winner determined by the total points accrued by their selection's win-place-show returns.
For those who do not beat a NAHU host, they will still win a consolation prize. If they do beat a NAHU host, they will win a bigger prize to be determined the week of the contest.
All who compete in the weekly handicapping contest will earn a spot into a semi-final round to be held on Jugette Day (Sept. 23). The top 5 point-earners from Jugette Day will then compete in a championship on Little Brown Jug Day (Sept. 24). The top point-earner from that contest will win the grand prize to be determined closer to the date.
The handicapping contest will run every week starting on Friday (Feb. 14). Those who wish to enter into that week's drawing can find North American Harness Update on Facebook or Twitter and share the contest announcement post.
Additional sponsors for the handicapping contest are welcome. For more information, contact rod@nahupicks.com.
